It can be something as simple as riding a pony. Faced with this unfamiliar situation, a child may be reluctant or even frightened. But with the help of a gentle, soft, and loving animal, that uncertainty melts away. It's a big step toward conquering fear and understanding that nature has many exciting facets to explore.

Our family petting zoo is included in your unlimited pass, and you'll come face-to-face with baby goats, pigs, sheep, and bunnies. A cup of food to feed them costs a dollar, and the fun to be had is absolutely priceless. What could be more exciting for a child?

We have the largest hay truck on the coast side, and the Lemos Farm hay rides take you through parts of the ranch that can't be reached on foot. It's a scenery-rich excursion that's available all year round and great for all ages. Then, hop aboard our train for a trip back through time to a small western town to see what life was like in the era of cowboys.
